Site Manager, Jane Falconer on #IWD23

What is your role at The Carling Group?

My role as a site manager within The Carling Group is to make sure tenant’s, both commercial and residential, needs are met. Assisting my colleagues with the smooth and efficient running of the business. Helping each other to achieve max service and potential we can deliver.

What does equity mean to you?

To me equity means working to get to the best outcome and achieving the best in ourselves as a team and not as an individual, acknowledging ideas and improvements with help and support together at what ever level we require to achieve each of our potential.

I believe equity is about understanding individuals needs in order to achieve an equal opportunity.

Have you experienced positive change over the past 5 years, or is everything still the same?

Although I have not been with The Caring Group long, I see a positive future moving forward with support from the management and all ideas and opinions being taken into consideration. We are encouraged to chat and get to know each other properly, as by doing this we have a greater understanding of what our individual strengths and weaknesses are and how we can support each other to the benefit of the full team and wider business.

What is your hope for the future?

On a personal level, I hope my future continues to be with The Carling Group and I give 100% of my commitment and energy to the company, going that bit extra when possible. With Management and employees all working on the same level giving advice and constructive structure I only see success.

In terms of the greater female empowerment movement, with two young Grand Daughters, I hope the future holds true equity, and that they are encouraged and supported to reach their full potential.
