Carling Group Ibérica signs regional investment deal targeting green energy sector
International family investment office, The Carling Group, through one of its subsidiary businesses, investment company, Carling Group Ibérica, has announced a new investment partnership with ICP Capital Partners, targeting the booming carbon reduction and green energy markets in Spain.
Working with existing regional partners, ICCI Capital, and its principal agent, Pablo A. Anderson, Carling Group Ibérica have successfully engaged with ICP Capital Partners in what will be a long-term investment partnership, unlocking opportunities in the decarbonisation sector, primarily in the Costa del sol region, before widening the scope to greater mainland Spain, and neighbouring countries in Europe.
The partnership has already committed 50M€, with immediate focus targeting the fragmented real estate market, primed for decarbonisation, and modernisation. Acquired developments will be renovated to exceed new energy efficiency standards, improving overall sustainability of the portfolio. Carling Group Ibérica will also identify building services businesses, capable of delivering the retrofit work necessary to meet new standards.
Speaking of the new investment partnership, The Carling Group and Carling Group Ibérica CEO, Graeme Carling commented; “We are a partnership organisation, we work with experienced, and well-connected regional partners to support our growth goals. Through our relationship with Pablo, and ICCI, I am delighted to have formalized our partnership with Yves Horoit and his team at ICP Capital Partners. We have committed a significant initial investment sum to pursue the right opportunities, and our local partners have already progressed several deals that will hopefully complete soon.
Pablo A. Anderson of ICCI Capital added; “Graeme Carling, and his team at both The Carling Group, and Carling Group Ibérica are well supported by both my team, and now the team at ICP. We have several opportunities lined up and we will work swiftly and efficiently towards completion.”
Commenting on the new investment partnership, Yves Horoit of ICP Capital Partners concluded; “It is an exciting time in the Costa del sol, with many opportunities, especially in the decarbonisation of real estate space, that The Carling Group, and Carling Group Ibérica are targeting. We are working on several deals at present, with many more already identified.”
